Digital ID platform “eAusweise” wins eAward 2024

The “eAward 2024” presented by the magazine “Report” has been honoring outstanding digitization projects in Austria since 2005. At the presentation of the eAwards 2024, the prestigious award was given to the Federal Computing Centre (BRZ) in the category “Services and Processes” for the Austrian digital ID platform “eAusweise”.

OeSD’s Digital Subsidiary youniqx Identity Plays Key Role

Nominations eAward 2024youniqx Identity, a 100% digital subsidiary of the Austrian State Printing House (OSD), developed the digital ID wallet “eAusweise” as a developer on behalf of the Federal Computing Centre (Bundesrechenzentrum) for the Republic of Austria. “We are proud that our work actively contributed to this award and congratulate the Federal Computing Centre on this great success,” said Helmut Lackner, CEO of youniqx Identity AG and General Director of the Austrian State Printing House.

The eAward is one of the most renowned awards in the field of digital transformation in Austria. The award underscores youniqx Identity’s ability to develop innovative solutions for complex challenges and individually meet its customers’ needs. The “eAusweise” project is an important step towards digitization and has given Austria a pioneering role within the EU. The “eAusweise” app has already recorded over 1.5 million downloads, and the range of IDs and certificates is continuously being expanded. youniqx Identity is one of the pioneers in secure and user-friendly digital identities and has taken on a leading role worldwide with its proprietary app “MIA – My Identity App”.
