YOUNIQX Identity AG cooperates with Nok Nok Labs and expands security portfolio

For the introduction of its new eID system from European Trust Services GmbH, a subsidiary of the Austrian State Printing House and CRYPTAS International GmbH, the Principality of Liechtenstein relies on security know-how and a highly innovative solution from Austria. “Liechtenstein decided to switch from a smartcard- and username-/password-based eID solution to a more secure and modern native smartphone solution. In combination with the seamless FIDO integration, this provides users with a secure and easy-to-use digital identity”, explains Lukas Praml, CEO of YOUNIQX.

For its eID solution – based on the internationally unique MIA app – the company cooperates with Nok Nok Labs, the market leader in next-generation authentication and a partner of YOUNIQX since 2017.

The contract for the new eID system was awarded in May of this year, and the eID system will go live already by the end of 2019.
