Direct participation in the company's success
The Austrian State Printing House wants its employees to actively participate in the success of the company. After all, the company's joint success would not be possible without the day-to-day commitment of its employees.
In March 2012, a new official shareholder in Österreichische Staatsdruckerei Holding AG (OSD Holding) was therefore established in the form of the "OeSD Mitarbeiterstiftung". Since then, the foundation has held a total of 4.9 percent of the dividend-bearing shares in Österreichische Staatsdruckerei Holding AG (OSD Holding). OSD employees receive a direct share of the company's success through the foundation.
"We see this as motivation for the future as well as additional recognition of the achievements of all employees over the past few years," affirms the CEO of the holding company, Robert Schächter. "Without the professionalism and commitment of our colleagues, our globally recognized level of quality in a sensitive area such as security printing would be inconceivable. Many of Staatsdruckerei's innovations come from within the company and we are working to ensure that this remains the case in the future," emphasizes Schächter.
Development of the employee foundation
The OSD Employee Foundation is managed by a foundation board consisting of a representative of the Holding Management Board (Helmut Lackner), a representative of the OSD Works Council (Works Council Chairman Martin Smit) and a representative of an inter-company employee representative body (GPA-djp Chairwoman Barbara Teiber, MA). The participation is paid out annually to all eligible employees in addition to their salary.
"We are very aware of our obligation to our employees and the importance of the national security aspect of the tasks assigned to us. Millions of Austrians can see this for themselves every day with their passports, driving licenses and ID cards," says CEO Robert Schächter.
