Another successful launch for youniqx Identity
The digital vehicle registration was developed by youniqx Identity AG, the digital subsidiary of the Austrian State Printing House (OSD). Since 2017, the Austrian State Printing House has been consolidating its know-how in secure digital identity in its in-house digital subsidiary youniqx Identity AG. The successful launch of the digital vehicle registration is the next important milestone within just 16 months. In addition to the new digital vehicle registration, youniqx Identity has already delivered the “eAusweise” app, the digital driver’s license, the digital proof of age, and the associated verification apps to the Republic of Austria. With the internally developed eID application “MIA” (“My Identity App”), youniqx Identity was already one of the pioneers in the field of electronic identities.
Valuable know-how through MIA
“MIA” had previously successfully launched into operation in two European countries. Based on “MIA,” the Liechtenstein digital identity “eID.li” could be adapted to individual customer requirements with only a few months of development time and was released in April 2020. The flexible “MIA” covers multiple use cases, such as digital IDs or electronic health records. This know-how about digital identities and digital IDs could now be used again in the development of the latest digital eID for the Republic of Austria.
